Located on the serene banks of the Indus river, Hemis Monastery is known for the vibrant celebration of Hemis Tsechu which is the annual festival. 

    It is famed for its astonishing architecture and one can explore a number of a large collection of Buddhist structure, statues and several ancient items that are a testimony to the rich culture of ancient times in Ladakh.
