I and my friend decided to go out on this adventure trek to Stok Kagri. It was one of the best adventures for both of us. We were very excited for the trip as days were coming closer. We reached Leh and met with our tour representative who was also our tour guide for the later days. Everything has been very well arranged, the rooms provided to us at Leh were quite good. Our drive to Stok village was quite an adventurous rides, this region is full of beautiful sites. Trekking to Chang Ma was quite difficult; you had to be very careful as you walk on the steep rocks. My friend was really scared at times but Indar our tour guide was very helpful in showing us the easiest path to climb. During this trek we saw Gulap Kangri, Parcha Kangri peaks which looked really beautiful. Stok Kangri is not an easy trek and if you are beginners then you should do other easy Himalayan treks first then go for Stok Kangri trek.

This trek happened after my brother was forcing me to take him for some trekking expedition. I checked with the guys from Liveladakh about the package and after 3-4 mails and phone calls I finally booked it. It was a great adventure for both of us. Since the trek was a difficult one, we had most of the days as acclimatization. Our main trek for Stok Kangri started on the 4th day. We passed through many small streams and peaks like Gulap Kangri, Parcha Kangri and Karakoram ranges during our trek. We also had few training sessions where our trek leader used to tell us about the different changes in the terrains we will pass. Camping at Mankorma was another great experience for us. We were provided with tents that were quite good and spacious. Food was average and most of the time we had roti, sabji and dal. I would rate a 4 out of 5 for this trek.
